About the event
A free 30-minute session for parents of children aged 4–7, from a phonics specialist and former Assistant Headteacher.
Learning to read is one of the biggest steps your child takes in their first years at school, and there's so much you can do at home to help. In this session I'll show you how to say the sounds correctly, what to do when your child gets stuck on a word, and simple activities you can start using straight away.
About me: I'm Sandy Macdonald, founder of Flying Start Education. I spent over 20 years teaching in UK primary schools, including many years as an Assistant Headteacher, and I now help children become confident, capable readers and writers.
There will be time for your questions at the end.
