About the event

Are you trying to help your child learn to read at home but not sure you’re doing it the right way? This free 30-minute live session is for parents of children aged 4 to 7, especially those in Reception and Year 1.

I’m Sandy, a former Assistant Headteacher with over 20 years’ experience teaching children to read and a mum whose little boy has just started Reception. I’ll share the simple, practical things that really make a difference at home, including:

  • How to say the sounds correctly (the mistake most parents make)

  • What to do when your child gets stuck on a word

  • Simple 5-minute activities that make a real difference

There’ll be time at the end for your questions.
